Lahore (AFP – Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News – 20 March 2026) Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif spoke with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
By phone on Friday evening on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
During the warm and friendly conversation, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif conveyed Eid al-Fitr greetings to President Sisi and the brotherly Egyptian people. President Sisi exchanged sentiments with the Prime Minister and the Pakistani people.
The Prime Minister reiterated the fraternal and strong relations between the two countries Pakistan and Egypt They affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation with Egypt in all areas of common interest.
He also expressed his appreciation for the constructive diplomatic role played by Egypt in regional and international issues, especially its significant contribution to peace efforts in the region middle east.
The two leaders exchanged views on the evolving situation in Iran and the Gulf region, and while they expressed their deep concern over the ongoing hostilities, they agreed to continue diplomatic efforts to stop the escalation and restore peace and normalcy.
