FAISALABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th March, 2026) Provincial Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan conducted a surprise inspection of ADA truck and city bus stand where he directly dealt with passengers and transporters while vowing to strictly implement the fares officially notified before Eid Al-Fitr.
The Minister of Transport, accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Assistant Commissioners, Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Secretary and Director Lori Ada, reviewed the price lists displayed at the various stations and verified their implementation on the ground.
He issued clear instructions to transport companies to refrain from increasing prices, and said that any violation of established prices will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
During the visit, the minister interacted with passengers and listened to their complaints about the high ticket prices and assured them of immediate redress.
He directed the transport authorities to take immediate action against violators, and ordered fare schedules to be placed in visible places at all bus stops to ensure transparency and public awareness.
Bilal Akbar Khan stressed that strict monitoring mechanisms must be put in place to provide maximum comfort for passengers, especially in light of the increase in traffic He travels Order during Eid al-Fitr.
He said that providing safe, affordable and quality transportation facilities to citizens is the government’s top priority and negligence or laxity in this regard will not be tolerated.
On this occasion, the Minister also led an awareness march on smog, urging citizens to take preventive measures and contribute to a cleaner environment.
To highlight the importance of protecting the environment, he planted a sapling inside the Lorry Adda premises and encouraged the public to actively participate in tree planting drives, describing it as an urgent need of the time.
