Lahore, March 18, 2026 – Director General of Social Welfare and Baitul Maal Punjab Dr Shanshah Faisal Azeem on Wednesday visited the Social Welfare Complex on the directions of Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Baitul Maal Sohail Shaukat Butt, where he reviewed the facilities provided to women and other vulnerable groups.
During the visit, the Director-General inspected the Women’s Transitional Home (Dar Al-Falah) and the Half-Way House (Dar Al-Sukoon), where the administration informed him of the services provided to resident women. He also met with female residents and other individuals, and obtained direct feedback regarding the facilities.
Dr. Shanshah Faisal Azeem reviewed the ongoing measures to care and rehabilitate needy women and people suffering from mental health problems, stressing the need for continued care and support.
The Director General directed the relevant authorities to continue improving facilities in social welfare institutions and enhancing the level of care to ensure maximum comfort for deserving segments of society.
On this occasion, Eid gifts were distributed to deserving women and their children.
