Abbottabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 20th March, 2026) Ayub Teaching Hospital on Friday achieved a major milestone by successfully performing the first TPA injection to treat a stroke patient, providing advanced care at the local level.
According to hospital sources, the injection was administered to Banaras Khan, a resident of Havelian, and was provided free of charge under the “Sahhat Sehwalat” programme.
Officials described this development as an important step forward for healthcare services in Hazara district, as modern treatment for stroke patients has become available locally at the right time and is expected to help save lives.
This achievement was achieved thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Chairman of the Board of Directors blackboard Governors Professor Abid Jameel, Hospital Director Dr. Sajjad Ahmad Afridi, Medical Director Dr. Imran Khan, and frontline medical staff.
