He said in a statement that the Sindh government is already implementing all the decisions taken by the Center and has initiated additional steps to address the situation.

Referring to the austerity measures, the minister said that the Sindh government has decided to waive salaries for three months. He added that a four-day work week will be implemented, taking into account Fridays as working days from home.

He said Sindh will continue to support federal decisions at all levels, adding that all possible steps are being taken to meet public needs and preserve fuel reserves until the situation is under control.

The minister further said that if the lockdown is imposed by the federal government, Sindh will ensure its full implementation, stressing the need to avoid any scenario leading to fuel and energy shortages.

He added that 60 percent of government vehicles are suspended under regional measures, while several initiatives are being implemented to conserve fuel and reduce potential inflation. He said Sindh would extend full cooperation if the Center requested further assistance.

Appealing to the public, he urged citizens to work from home wherever possible, describing the situation as a collective challenge and not an individual concern. He stressed that conserving fuel and maintaining energy reserves requires public cooperation.
