Scholarships worth Rs 25 lakh for deserving UAF students

Sultan Ali Shukro Barakat Educational Foundation Scholarship has added Rs25 million to its program for deserving students of University of Agriculture Faisalabad, while a new scholarship titled “Dr. Abdul Hafeez Educational Foundation Scholarship” worth Rs2.5 million has also been launched for UAF students.

Philanthropist Dr Pervez Sultan handed over the checks to UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ali at the latter’s office while Director Financial Aid Dr Nazia Ehsan and Assistant Director Waqar Akbar Khan were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Pervez Sultan said in his speech on this occasion education It is the most powerful tool to transform lives and communities, adding that supporting talented but financially constrained students is a collective responsibility.

He expressed his hope that these scholarships would enable students to focus on their studies and play a meaningful role in national development.

UAF Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Zulfiqar Ali praised the generous contribution and described it as a commendable step towards promoting inclusive education.

He added that such charitable initiatives are vital in enhancing the academic environment and advancing deserving students.

He said UAF is committed to providing equal opportunities and ensuring that financial constraints do not hamper the academic journey of talented youth. He said that more than 7,500 students benefit from various scholarships at UAF.

He also praised government initiatives in the field of scholarships and support for deserving students who illuminate their lives with light and a better future.

Director of Financial Aid Dr. Nizia Ahsan said UAF is striving to build a transparent and merit-based scholarship system to support deserving students from all over the country.

She said that such contributions not only ease the financial burden on students, but also motivate them to excel academically and contribute positively to society.
