Chiniot, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 18th Mar, 2026) In line with the directives of Emergency Services Department Secretary Dr Rizwan Naseer (Sitara Imtiaz), District Emergency Officer Tahira Khan on Wednesday unveiled a comprehensive action plan to ensure timely and effective response to emergencies during Eid Al-Fitr. Moreover, the 1122 Rescue Teams will remain on full alert around the clock to respond to road accidents, medical emergencies, fires and other unexpected incidents, ensuring quick and reliable rescue service for citizens.
Meanwhile, special arrangements have been made to provide medical coverage at major Eidqats and large mosques across the region during Eid prayers. Rescue officials will be strategically deployed to deal with any emergency, while additional preparedness measures reflect a proactive approach to public safety during large gatherings.
Moreover, special rescue centers will be set up on the Chenab River and other recreational places to prevent accidents and ensure quick response. Ambulances, fire engines, rescue units and motorcycle rescue services will be efficiently stationed at key locations, forming a well-coordinated and fast-responding emergency network throughout the region.
Accordingly, District Emergency Officer Tahira Khan urged citizens to take precautionary measures, follow traffic rules and act responsibly during this festive occasion. She stressed that in the event of any emergency, the public should immediately call the helpline 1122, stressing the administration’s firm commitment to protecting lives and ensuring a safe celebration of Eid.
