Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21 March 2026) Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday that children with Down Syndrome deserve special attention from society and called for an integrated system for their care and treatment.
In a message on the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day, she highlighted the efforts of the Punjab government to improve rehabilitation and care services for children with special needs, including enhancing education Training facilities and transportation equipment through designated buses.
She said: “On this day, we must reaffirm our commitment to the care and rehabilitation of children with Down Syndrome,” stressing the need for collective responsibility in supporting these vulnerable segments of society.
