A meeting was held to finalize the Eid security plan in Di Khan

Dera Ismail Khan (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 17 Mar, 2026) The Divisional Intelligence Coordination Committee (DICC) met here at the Commissioner’s Office to review and finalize security arrangements for Eid al-Fitr.

The meeting was chaired by Commissioner Daud Khan and attended by Regional Police Officer Syed Ashfaq Anwar, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Nasir Khan, Assistant Commissioner (Political and Development) Sajjad Baloch, along with senior officials of police and other law enforcement agencies.

On the occasion, special prayers were offered for the martyrs of police and other law enforcement agencies who laid down their lives in the line of duty, as well as for the speedy recovery of the injured individuals. The participants praised their sacrifices and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace.

During the meeting, the forum was briefed on the comprehensive security plan for Eid al-Fitr. The regional police officer informed the participants that all arrangements are in their final stages, with close coordination between relevant departments to ensure effective implementation.

Particular emphasis was placed on maintaining law and order during the last ten days of Ramadan, especially for Qur’an recital gatherings in mosques and the Quds Day procession last Friday.

Officials reviewed security measures in line with the directives of the provincial government, stressing that strict arrangements will be put in place to enable citizens to participate in religious activities without fear.

The forum was further informed that detailed security plans have also been prepared for Chand Raat and Eid al-Fitr. Additional personnel from police and other law enforcement agencies will be deployed at sensitive locations, including mosques, Imam Baraka, and major highways.

Participants stressed the importance of inter-agency coordination and intelligence sharing to effectively confront any potential threats. Citizens were also urged to immediately report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities to ensure that the necessary measures are taken in a timely manner.

In conclusion, the Commissioner directed all concerned departments to exploit all available capabilities to maintain law and order during Eid al-Fitr and provide a safe and peaceful environment for the public.
