MULTAN (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 30 Mar, 2026) As part of intensifying crackdown targeting corrupt elements, the Anti-Corruption Foundation (ACE) has arrested six people accused of embezzlement of government medicines and a bribery case.

The action was taken under the supervision of the ACE Regional Director Multan Basharat Nabi in compliance with the standing instructions of Director General Sohail Zafar Chatha to tighten the noose around corrupt elements across Punjab.

A team led by Deputy Director of Investigation Imran Arif Sial and Circle Officer Syed Ali Hassan Gilani raided the office of the District Health Officer in Lodhran, where investigators uncovered widespread misappropriation of government-supplied medicines meant for public hospitals.

After the raid, FIR No. 03/26 was registered and five accused, including Muhammad Minhas, junior accountant Muhammad Ramzan, storekeeper Kashif, Salman Saeed and Adnan Saeed, were arrested.

The security services also found a large quantity of medicines in the possession of the defendants, including 32,000 Amoxil capsules (500 mg) and 5,000 bottles of Calpol syrup.

An official statement issued on Monday said that these allegations were proven during the investigation conducted by the Anti-Corruption Foundation, after which the suspect was detained after the court rejected his request for bail.
