Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14 March 2026) Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) of Pakistan Lahore Committed to public service in light of the vision of the Government of Punjab.
An online review meeting chaired by WASA Director General Ghufran Ahmed was held here on Saturday.
During the meeting, instructions were issued to accelerate the implementation of development projects and sanitation operations.
A detailed review of the performance of development projects and field operations undertaken under the second phase of the Lahore Development Program has been conducted.
All the Directors and XENs participated in the meeting via webinar and briefed the President on the ongoing development works and operational activities in their respective cities.
WASA Managing Director Ghufran Ahmed directed to accelerate the pace of development projects.
He stressed that timely completion of development projects under the Lahore Development Program must be ensured at all costs.
He said that providing better sanitation facilities for citizens is a top priority for the Authority.
The Director General also instructed the officers to effectively continue the sediment removal process as specified table.
Particular attention should be paid to regular cleaning of roadside drains in order to further improve the drainage system.
Ghufran Ahmed directed to ensure cleanliness and effective branding of all WASA vehicles.
All field workers have been instructed to perform their duties while wearing appropriate uniform.
The Director General also directed all managers to conduct special monitoring of the condition of manhole covers in their areas.
According to the people-friendly vision of the Punjab government, any delay in redressing public complaints is unacceptable.
He added that field officials must personally supervise the quick and effective resolution of complaints.
