UNDP continues its human rights training programme

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5 Mar, 2026) The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) will continue its human rights training programme, Rights Pakistan II, in the second week of March, in collaboration with MASHAL, a program of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan. Pakistan (HRCP), in a press release issued here on Thursday.

The continuation of the training program reflects the shared commitment of UNDP and Mishal to promote human rights educationStrengthen institutional capacities and provide structured learning opportunities for young professionals. The initiative aims to enhance coordination between government departments, national and regional human rights institutions, civil society organizations, and academic partners.

Under this collaboration, selected trainees will get practical exposure and hands-on training through organized workshops and mentorship. MASHAL representatives will work closely with volunteers and stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the programme.

The continuation of the internship program has been described as an important step towards continuing efforts to promote and protect human rights in Pakistan.
