The President of the Senate described it as misleading and inconsistent with the facts.
A spokesman for the General Secretariat explained that the vehicle was part of a comprehensive plan to replace the fleet
It was implemented transparently in May 2025, during the financial year 2024-25.
The plan also included replacing the vehicles allocated to the chairs of the standing committees, the Deputy Chairman of the Senate, the Leader of the House, the Leader of the Opposition, and the Senate Secretariat itself.
The spokesman added that the price of the car was paid in May 2025 from the budget of the previous fiscal year, while the car was delivered in March 2026.
The Senate Secretariat strongly rejected the speculation and urged news Organizations to practice
