The Pakistan Ex-Servicemen’s Association on Wednesday praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at stopping the escalation in the region, and called for broader international participation to restore peace.

Pakistan, along with countries such as Türkiye and EgyptHe was playing a constructive role in promoting dialogue for world peace.

President Pace stressed respect for international laws and said that the sovereignty and political independence of all countries, including Iran, must be preserved in accordance with international law.

He also expressed his appreciation for the restraint shown by the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and urged Iran to avoid targeting civilian sites in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, while calling on the Gulf Cooperation Council countries not to allow their territories to be used to launch attacks against Iran.

He stressed that Pakistan should play a leading role in promoting unity and peace in the Islamic world by bringing together key countries, including Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, on a common platform to collectively address emerging regional challenges.

He said that PESS condemns all forms of unlawful aggression indiscriminately, and warned that such actions could lead to devastating consequences that pose nuclear risks.
