Peshawar (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24 March 2026) The Minister of Health of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Khaliq-ur-Rahman, said on Tuesday that the provincial government is taking comprehensive measures to strengthen essential and secondary health care facilities throughout the governorate.
He said in a statement that steps are being taken to address the shortage of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff on an emergency basis to ensure timely and quality medical services are provided to the public at nearby health centres.
The minister said that the government is implementing a complete system within the framework of a new health policy aimed at improving basic healthcare infrastructure.
He added that modern medical equipment is being provided and monitoring mechanisms are being strengthened to enhance service delivery.
Khaliqur Rahman said the reforms will ensure better, reliable and dependable healthcare facilities for the people, enabling them to get quality treatment without unnecessary delay.
He stressed the government’s commitment to improving the health sector and ensuring that citizens benefit from advanced health care services throughout the governorate.
