Lahore, April 6, 2026 Punjab Inspector General of Police Abdul Karim on Monday met police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and heard their concerns on promotions, seniority, welfare and administrative matters.
According to the police spokesperson, on the request of the widow of late Asi Amir Hamza regarding her son’s recruitment, the matter has been referred to the Additional Inspector General Punjab for consideration. On the request of transfer of ASI Javeed Aslam, Additional IG Punjab has been directed to provide relief. Likewise, necessary instructions were given to Additional IG RMP regarding the transfer request of driver Constable Tanveer Hayat.
IGP Abdul Karim said that the welfare of the police force is his top priority and the issues faced by the staff will be ensured to be resolved in a timely manner.
