ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14 March 2026) Abdul Hamid Lone, leader of Friends of Kashmir, on Saturday congratulated the new elected members of the National Press Club of Islamabad, including President Abdul Razzaq Sial and Secretary General, after the recent elections of the club.
Friends of Kashmir leader Abdul Hamid Lone said he extended congratulations to the newly elected leadership of the National Press Club in Islamabad. He said that the success of the new authority reflects the support of the journalistic community.
He congratulated President Abdul Razak Sial, the Secretary-General and other members of the elected body. He also said the elected members of the Democrats and Journalists Committee deserve credit for having the confidence of voters in the Press Club elections.
Lone said he hoped the new leadership of the National Press Club would also play a role in raising awareness about the Kashmir issue.
According to him, the Press Club remains a major platform for journalists to discuss national and regional issues.
He also congratulated other officials of the Press Club. They include Senior Vice President Ehtishamul Haq and Vice Presidents Sehrish Qureshi, Usman Khan and Bashir Chowdhury.
The Friends of Kashmir leader also extended his greetings to the other successful candidates of the Journalists’ Committee. Among them are Abid Abbasi, Shiraz Gardezi, Aoun Shirazi, Javed Bhagat, and Shakila Jalil.
Lunn said the new elected members have the opportunity to work with journalists and enhance the role of the Press Club. He expressed his hope that the new leadership would continue its efforts to address the issues faced by journalists and support discussions on matters of public concern.
