Discussions focused on strengthening the CAF collaborative agenda, including initiating a CAF-led research component aimed at generating robust evidence to inform policy and practice. Participants also explored opportunities to develop joint projects between member institutions and emphasized the need to strengthen institutional and technical capacities within the network to enhance collective impact.

The meeting stressed the importance of joint learning, cross-sector partnerships, and coordinated action as key drivers of climate resilience and sustainable development in Pakistan.

A highlight of the session was an engagement with a climate policy expert in the Oxford University Policy Department, who exchanged insights on emerging climate policy priorities and global perspectives on climate governance and adaptation planning. The discussion opened promising prospects for future cooperation in research and engagement in policy and program initiatives.

The Steering Committee reaffirmed CAF’s commitment to strengthening inclusive partnerships, encouraging innovation and aligning collective efforts with national and global climate goals. By strengthening cooperation and building on shared priorities, CAF continues to serve as a strategic platform for united climate action in Pakistan.

The meeting represents a significant milestone in strengthening CAF’s role as a multi-stakeholder platform for strategic dialogue, evidence-based action and coordinated responses to the country’s evolving climate challenges.
