Sargodha (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 2nd April, 2026) Sargodha Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chowdhury on Thursday conducted a detailed inspection of various development and public welfare projects underway across the city in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister.
Accompanied by officials from Solid Waste Management Corporation (SWMC), Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), Municipal Corporation, Horticulture Authority and FESCO, the DC reviewed the progress of several infrastructure and urban improvement initiatives, said a press release issued here.
The visit began on Al Zaidi Road, where the Directorate assessed the situation regarding a pending issue related to shops and received a comprehensive briefing from the officials concerned. He then visited Liaquat Market Road to review the progress made in the general development program and urban renewal project.
On this occasion, officials of the Water and Sanitation Authority informed the Capital Directorate that determining the location of laying sewer lines had been completed.
He ordered the concerned authorities to complete the project in a timely manner.
In Katcheri Bazaar, Hussein Ahmed Reda inspected the city beautification project being implemented. He also reviewed the underground electricity initiative launched by Visco and instructed officials to strictly adhere to the set schedule for improving the urban environment for residents.
Moreover, Hussain Ahmad Raza Chowdhury visited Mohni Road and inspected the railway track along the way. He directed the Public Health Authority to continue enhancing the maintenance and beautification of green belts and parks to provide better recreational facilities for the public.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that improving beautification of the city, ensuring basic amenities and enhancing public service delivery remain top priorities for the district administration in line with the vision of the Chief Minister. He warned that negligence in the implementation of the project would not be tolerated.
