Faisalabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th March, 2026) District Commissioner Raja Jehangir Anwar emphasized the importance of professional knowledge, skills and positive attitudes in public service and said that merit and transparency should remain the guiding principles of district administration officials.
He expressed these views during his meeting with the untrained assistant commissioners who are currently performing their duties alongside the district administration during the holy month of Ramadan.
The session provided an opportunity for the young officers to interact with the department head and gain an insight into administrative work.
The Divisional Commissioner briefed the under-trained officers on the key initiatives and governance measures taken by the Divisional Management to ensure effective service delivery, price Control and facilitation of citizens during the holy month of Ramadan.
He stressed the importance of coordinating efforts between departments to maintain administrative efficiency and public relief.
He said that knowledge, competence and professional behavior carry great value in government service. He added that the policy of merit must always be upheld and officers must discharge their responsibilities with integrity and dedication.
He said the Office of the Assistant Commissioner demands a commitment to public service, merit and transparency.
He advised the officers who did not receive adequate training to focus on field work and develop strong leadership on revenue matters during their training period as practical exposure would enable them to better understand administrative challenges and public expectations.
During the interactive session, the under-trained officers raised queries on the functioning of various departments, and the Divisional Commissioner responded in detail and guided them on administrative procedures and best practices.
