Sargodha (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29 Mar, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmad Raza Chowdhury on Sunday announced that a four-day anti-polio drive will be launched across the district from April 13 to 16, with the aim of vaccinating more than 696,000 children under the age of five.
While chairing a meeting to review arrangements for the upcoming campaign, the Deputy Commissioner was informed that a target of 696,942 children has been set for the immunization drive across 167 federal councils.
The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization, the Rotary Club and other relevant departments.
The capital directed the health authorities to complete partial planning and complete the training of all field teams to ensure 100 percent coverage.
He stressed that no child should be left without vaccination and teams must visit every family to achieve the set goal.
