QUETTA (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th Mar, 2026) Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Anwar Kakar on Thursday directed the need to ensure provision of quality and prompt medical facilities to the public at all health centres.
This came while chairing a meeting of the region’s health committee. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the Ministry of Health and medical observers (Ms) from various hospitals, financial officer and PPHI representatives.
During the meeting, a detailed review of the overall performance of basic health centres, rural health centers and government hospitals established across the district was conducted.
The concerned authorities provided comprehensive reports on the facilities available in health centers, drug supplies, the condition of medical devices, the facilities provided to patients, and the problems they face.
The meeting particularly emphasized continuous supply of medicines, presence of doctors and medical staff, hygiene arrangements and timely provision of treatment facilities to patients.
On this occasion, concerns were also expressed about staff absence and lack of facilities in some centres.
While addressing the meeting, ADC Anwar Kakar directed that quality and prompt medical facilities should be ensured to the public at all health centres.
He stressed that negligence and absenteeism from work will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and strict action will be taken against these employees.
He further said that improving the health sector is among the top priorities of the government and therefore all officers concerned must discharge their responsibilities efficiently and take immediate steps to address public grievances.
At the end of the meeting, instructions were issued to the concerned authorities to implement various matters so that medical facilities could be provided in a better and timely manner to the public.
