SSP Qazi Ali Raza chairs a meeting on crime control and Eid market security

Islamabad, March 15, 2026 Chief Inspector of Police Operations Qazi Ali Raza chaired an important meeting with officers of the city’s two districts and Sadar to review crime prevention measures and security arrangements in markets ahead of Eid shopping.

The meeting was attended by City Zone SP Dr Ayaz Hussain, Zone SP Sadar Kazim Naqvi, along with SDPOs and SHOs of the respective areas, an official told APP on Sunday.

During the meeting, the SSP Magistrate directed the officers to adopt an effective strategy to ensure law and order and curb criminal activities.

He ordered the police to take strict and indiscriminate action against active criminal gangs, drug traffickers and illegal weapons holders.

MP SSP Qazi said that with Eid shopping increasing during the last ten days of Ramadan, effective security arrangements must be ensured in markets and malls.

He directed that all police vehicles should remain active in the field and that the patrolling system should be strengthened and made more useful.

The judge also directed officers to ensure their presence in markets and commercial areas so that citizens can enjoy a safe and peaceful environment while shopping on Eid.

He reiterated that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
