Rawalpindi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13 March 2026) Rawalpindi The city traffic police has made special arrangements to manage the increased traffic during the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan, and has deployed additional personnel on main roads, commercial markets and bazaars across the city.
According to a CTP spokesperson on Friday, the measures were implemented on the directions of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Farhan Aslam. Office employees are also deployed on field shifts until Eid to ensure smooth traffic and provide greater comfort for road users.
CTO Farhan Aslam said that the last 10 days of Ramadan “witness an extraordinary increase in the number of shoppers in the markets.”
Office staff have been assigned to field work so that road users, especially buyers, can move easily.
He added that more than 800 traffic officers and personnel were on 24-hour duty in Rawalpindi. He added that security personnel maintain traffic movement on the main roads in cooperation with citizens, while special teams remain active to prevent accidents, one-wheeled vehicles, and illegal parking.
He urged citizens to follow traffic rules, cooperate with traffic officers, and avoid parking in prohibited places while shopping to ensure freedom of movement for all road users.
