Peshawar (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 15 March 2026) The Counter-Terrorism Department and the police on Sunday killed six terrorists in a joint operation carried out in Peshawar. Kohat (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region).
District police officer Kohat Shehbaz Elahi told the media that the operation was conducted in Latchi district.
Weapons were also recovered from the slain terrorists, he said, adding that a search operation was underway and the area had been cordoned off.
The operation comes in the wake of the recent attacks in the governorate, where security forces intensified anti-terrorism efforts.
The previous day, the Counter Terrorism Department conducted an intelligence operation in Lakki Marwat that resulted in the killing of at least six suspected militants.
The action came in the wake of a deadly explosion on Friday near a police vehicle in the Baitani tribal area of Lakki Marwat, killing at least seven police personnel.
