Police organize a flag march to ensure security on Eid al-Fitr

Rawalpindi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21 March 2026) Police organized a flag march across the city in a bid to ensure law and order during Eid al-Fitr.

The Flag March Operations was led by SSP, Malik Tariq Mehboob, and involved SPs, SDPOs, SHOs, Dolphin Force, Traffic Police and elite commandos.

The march started from the police lines headquarters and passed through the main roads and main areas of the city.

Likewise, flag marches were also carried out in Taxila, Gujjar Khan and Kahuta constituencies under the supervision of senior officers.

City police officer Syed Khalid Mahmoud Hamdani said that the purpose of the flag march is to demonstrate the police’s commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring foolproof security arrangements during Eid.

He stated that more than 6,000 officers and individuals carried out their duties during the Eid holiday, while special security measures were implemented in more than 1,400 mosques, imams, and places open to Eid gatherings.

The city police office also said that 40 special pickets have been set up to curb one-wheeler shooting, aerial shooting and other illegal activities, with strict monitoring in place. He warned that strict measures would be taken against violators of the law.

Sayed Khaled Mahmoud Hamdani stressed that protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the highest priority, adding that Rawalpindi The police continue to perform their duties with vigilance and dedication around the clock.
