Continuing throughout the region to ensure safe and quality food is available to the public.
According to official sources, 81 inspections were conducted during the ongoing campaign, during which 24 improvement notices were issued to various food outlets due to violations of food safety standards.
Moreover, fines were imposed on six establishments, and a total of Rs 97 lakh was recovered during the operations.
The teams also disposed of 0.1 kilograms of substandard and banned food items to prevent potential health risks.
Officials stated that strict measures against the sale of unhealthy and prohibited food items will continue without interruption, warning that violators will be dealt with firmly under the law.
