Islamabad, March 27, 2026 AD (Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News) In an important step towards redefining the information dimension of bilateral cooperation, Pakistan Plans to institutionalize the China-Pakistan Information Corridor (CPIC) were presented today, signaling a shift towards more coordinated and strategic communications on joint initiatives.

The high-level meeting, chaired by Dr. Shazra Mansab, Minister of State for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, included high-level representatives from the government, the media and strategic institutions to accelerate the activation of the initiative.

“In today’s world, partnerships are built not only on infrastructure and investment, but also on narrative, awareness and trust,” said Dr. Shazra Mansab. “CPIC will serve as a structured platform to ensure that the story of Pakistan-China cooperation is communicated with clarity, coherence and impact.”

Participants included officials from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan Television, Press Information Department, ISPR, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority, Pakistan-China Institute, and Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.

One of the major outcomes of the meeting was the decision to establish a CPIC Secretariat within the External Publicity Wing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, representing a concrete step towards institutionalizing the initiative and strengthening Pakistan’s strategic communications architecture.

The meeting also agreed to form subcommittees specialized in media, think tanks, institutional engagement, and youth cooperation to drive implementation across key areas.

Discussions focused on upcoming initiatives including the Pakistan-China Media Forum, influencer exchange programmes, documentary co-productions, and digital platforms aimed at promoting informed public discourse.

As the initiative moves towards its formal launch, the third round of engagements between Pakistani and Chinese stakeholders reflects growing momentum towards a more integrated and proactive approach to information.

At a time when global narratives are increasingly shaping geopolitical outcomes, the Pakistan-China Cooperation Forum represents a forward-looking effort to ensure that Pakistan-China cooperation is not only implemented but also effectively communicated, understood and sustained.
