He pointed out that those responsible for the young man’s killing will be held accountable in this world and the hereafter.

Highlighting Pakistan’s growing global profile, the Punjab Governor said that the country today stands with dignity and respect at the international level thanks to the collective efforts of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the military leadership, which have contributed significantly to national stability.

He congratulated Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and other allied leaders for the services rendered to the nation, adding that Pakistan was playing an active and constructive role in promoting peace through dialogue in the region.

He described Pakistan’s efforts to calm global tensions as praiseworthy and said the country’s principled position was recognized across the world.

He said that Pakistan desires peace and believes in negotiations as the only sustainable solution to conflicts.

He said the continuing loss of innocent lives and destruction around the world must end. He added that the international community must prioritize diplomacy over confrontation.

Sardar Saleem Haider Khan also strongly condemned the use of inappropriate language against the holy places and their custodians. He added that such behavior is unacceptable under any circumstances.

He urged the Islamic nation to show unity and collectively raise its voice on this issue. He added that no compromise would be reached on respect for and sanctity of religious places.

Regarding economic issues, the governor emphasized that Pakistan provides ample investment opportunities and stressed the need to provide a conducive environment for local and foreign investors.

He expressed optimism that investment prospects will improve after regional conditions stabilize. He stressed the need for all institutions and citizens to play their due role in strengthening the national economy.

He denied speculation about extending the constitutional term of the councils, and explained that it remained five years and any allegations about increasing it to ten years were baseless.

He said that holding elections in a timely manner is essential to ensure the continuity and stability of democracy. He added that political parties must prioritize national interests over personal or partisan gains.

He said he was responsible and mature policy It was the need of the time, rather than emotional slogans.

“A true leader is one who works for the survival and development of the country,” he said, reiterating that no compromise will be reached on Pakistan’s sovereignty and dignity, but rather the national interest must always come first.

Expressing his concern about the situation in Afghanistan, the governor called for a cautious and responsible political approach.

He cited the saying attributed to Hazrat Ali (may God be pleased with him), who recommends vigilance in transactions and calls for protecting the country from all evils and challenges.
