The central event included a flag raising ceremony, followed by a well-organized parade, where the Police, Rescue 1122 and Civil Defense teams saluted the national flag.
The ceremony was jointly chaired by Multan Commissioner Amir Karim Khan and Regional Police Officer Muhammad Usman Akram Gondal.
The event was attended by Deputy Finance Commissioner Mohsin Nizar, along with other district officials and civil society members.
Sirens were sounded during the ceremony, and a minute of silence was observed to mourn the sacrifices of the nation’s ancestors.
Addressing the participants, Commissioner Amir Karim Khan said that Pakistan Day renews the nation’s commitment to protecting the integrity and sovereignty of the country.
He stressed the importance of conveying the message of patriotism and national responsibility to the younger generation.
He also mentioned that Lahore The decision paved the way for the establishment of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent, adding that the ancestors made countless sacrifices to achieve this dream. “March 23 carried a historic message of hope and independence for Muslims,” he noted, adding that the entire nation celebrates this day with unity and enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion, RPO Muhammad Usman Akram Gondal stressed the importance of unity, especially in the current regional context. He said that the nation stands as a solid wall alongside its armed forces to defend the country. “Just as our sheikhs made enormous sacrifices to create Pakistan, we too will not hesitate to make any sacrifices to protect it,” he stressed.
The ceremony concluded with renewed pledges of national unity, solidarity and commitment to progress and security in Pakistan.
