Sukkur (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19 Mar, 2026) Provincial Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah on Thursday announced that the Sindh Chief Minister has approved the construction of the new Sukkur-Rohri Bridge over the Indus River.

The Prime Minister approved the Project Development Facility for the New Sukkur-Ruri Bridge, which will be completed under the Public-Private Partnership model by the Local Government Department. Transaction advisors will be appointed for the project.

The new bridge is about 1.5 kilometers long and is multi-lane, with separate lanes for heavy vehicles and pedestrians.
