The meeting, which was held via video link, was attended by representatives of RPOs, DIGs and SSP operations Lahore And other officers, who reviewed the security and traffic plans in their areas.
According to the spokesperson, more than 13,000 personnel will be deployed at 2,270 Good Friday events, while more than 17,000 officers will carry out duties at 3,153 Easter gatherings. In Lahore alone, more than 5,000 personnel will be deployed.
Muhammad Ali Naikukukara directed that entry into churches should only be allowed after strict screening and verification, while community volunteers must remain vigilant alongside the police.
He ordered the intensification of search and combing operations before the events, with careful monitoring of suspicious elements through door-to-door inspection.
The meeting stressed coordination with the Punjab Safe Cities Authority and district administrations, and maintaining contact with church administrations and community leaders to promote interfaith harmony.
The spokesman said snipers and special forces would be deployed to sensitive locations, including churches, parks and Christian sites, while Dolphin Force, PRU and Elite Force would ensure effective patrolling.
The spokesman added that strict screening will be conducted at entry and exit points in the cities, and officers are directed to remain on duty until all Easter-related activities are completed.
