Mashal Malik’s Eid call for Muslim unity and the freedom of Yasin Malik

ISLAMABAD (Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News – 21 March 2026) On the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr, Mishal Malik, wife of detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, on the Eid day extended her heartfelt greetings to the Islamic nation, while drawing attention to the continuing suffering of persecuted Muslims across the world, especially in the Muslim world. Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, urge unity, justice and collective action.

Mishal Malik described Eid al-Fitr as a divine gift from God Almighty, a reward for the worship performed during the holy month of Ramadan.

She stressed that while Eid is a time for celebration, it is also a moment to remember those who suffer hardship and oppression.

She pointed out that many Muslims are still imprisoned, including Yassin Malik, who has been detained in India for twelve years. Expressing deep emotional pain, she said countless Kashmiri families continue to live in a state of separation, waiting to be reunited with their loved ones.

“Even on Eid, our Muslim brothers remain in enemy prisons,” she said, adding that her family still hopes for the day when Yasin Malik will return home.

Mishal Malik also shed light on the situation in Al-Aqsa Mosque, explaining that the restrictions limited the ability of worshipers to perform prayers.

It further claimed that mosques in Indian-administered Kashmir remain closed, reflecting restrictions on religious freedom.

She called for unity, urging the Islamic nation to come together as one body after Eid and stand firm for humanity, truth, justice and peace.

She concluded her speech by expressing her hope that the spirit of Eid will strengthen solidarity among Muslims and amplify their collective voice against injustice around the world.
