Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 29 March 2026) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar said on Saturday that the Iranian government has agreed to allow 20 more ships flying the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and two ships will pass through the strait daily.

In a post on X, he said: “Happy to share something amazing news The Iranian government agreed to allow twenty other ships flying the Pakistani flag to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Two ships will pass through the strait daily.”

He added, “This is a welcome and constructive gesture on the part of Iran and deserves appreciation. It is a harbinger of peace and will help achieve stability in the region. This positive announcement represents a meaningful step towards peace and will strengthen our collective efforts in this direction.”

“Dialogue, diplomacy and confidence-building measures are the only way forward,” he said.
