ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 31 March 2026) The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday restored the interim bail of Dr. Fazila Abbasi on security. Bonds 100,000 in a multi-billion-rupee money laundering case, preventing the FIA from arresting her.
The court ordered the applicant to go to the court of first instance.
Judge Muhammad Azam Khan heard the bail application submitted by Dr Fazila Abbasi before her arrest, who appeared in court with her lawyer Naeem Bukhari.
Lawyer Naeem Bukhari said that Dr. Fadela Abbasi appeared before the court three times.
She can appear once and provide a medical certificate for three days, after which her bail will be withdrawn.
The court restored interim bail against surety bonds of Rs 100,000 and directed her to approach the trial court.
The Central Special Judge in Islamabad had canceled the bail of Dr. Fazila Abbasi for failure to appear before the court against which she had approached the Islamabad High Court. The Financial Intelligence Agency has registered a case against Dr Fazila Abbasi under the Money Laundering Act.
