Abbottabad, March 22, 2026: On the second day of Eid al-Fitr, Hazara Police, in collaboration with district administrations, made comprehensive special security and traffic arrangements as a large number of tourists rushed to Galiyat, Kahgan and Naran.

These measures aim to ensure a peaceful and safe environment for residents, and to keep pace with the large influx of tourists expected in the scenic Hazara region, especially in Abbottabad And Mansoura areas.

The Hazara division, known for its scenic tourist spots like Galiyat, Naran, Kaghan, Natia Gali and Murree-linked roads, attracts thousands of visitors during the Eid holidays. Realizing this, the authorities have prioritized foolproof security at mosques, customs, markets, picnic spots and major highways to prevent any untoward incidents while facilitating smooth movement.

According to police sources, Hazara Deputy Inspector General Nasir Mehmood Satti has deployed more than 10,000 police personnel in the eight districts of Hazara district.

This includes operations staff, traffic wardens, elite force, Special Service Unit (SSU), police officers, Special Branch and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) teams.

A dedicated traffic management plan has been activated to deal with the expected increase in the number of vehicles, especially on major roads such as the Karakoram Highway (KKH). The traffic police implemented lane bifurcations by erecting barricades from Havelian to Abbottabad, and extending to Mansehra and beyond, to manage rush hour congestion and ensure smooth flow. Vehicles entering the area are subject to thorough and courteous checks to maintain security without causing unnecessary delays or inconvenience.

District administrations, including Abbottabad, have implemented strict measures under Section 144, which prohibits aerial firing, firecrackers and other dangerous activities during Chand Raat and Eid days.

Orders were issued to strengthen patrols in markets, parks, and recreational areas, with an increase in the presence of male and female individuals. The District Control Room in Abbottabad and Mansehra remains operational 24/7 to assist tourists visiting tourist sites, with the support of the Communities Development Authority, Kaghan Development Authority, Traffic Police and Tourism Police.
