Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 27 March 2026) The Punjab government has taken strict action against those responsible for the video incident at Lady Willingdon Hospital.
According to a notification issued on Friday. Ms Lady Willingdon Hospital summoned Dr. Farah Inam and the head of the Gynecology Department, Professor Dr. Uzma Hussein, to provide their clarifications within three days. Meanwhile, the postgraduate training of four doctors – Dr Taiba Fatima Tur, Dr Maham Amin, Dr Zainab Tahir and Aisha Afzal – has been suspended.
The above-mentioned postgraduate residents are instructed to report to health and medical specialists education The administration has issued an official notification in this regard.
The competent authority described the incident as a case of serious negligence in the performance of official duties, which reflects gross malpractice and administrative lapses.
On the occasion, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafiq stated that such actions constitute a violation of medical ethics, an insult to patient dignity, and a violation of professional standards, all of which are strictly prohibited under government rules and standard operating procedures for hospitals.
Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department Secretary Azmat Mahmood said disciplinary action will be taken if a satisfactory response is not given within the stipulated time.
