Faisalabad (Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News – April 6, 2026) Electricity supply was temporarily cut off in several areas of the city. Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) area due to bad weather and rain affecting more than 50 feeders on Monday.
A FESCO spokesperson said the downed power lines caused power outages in various areas falling under Faisalabad I and II circles as well as Mianwali, Sargodha, Toba Tek Singh and Jhang circles.
He said the situation arose due to weather-related disturbances that affected the transmission and distribution network.
He added that FESCO teams were immediately mobilized and field staff were put on high alert to ensure early restoration of electricity supply.
He said that technical crews actively participated in the work of detecting and correcting errors in the affected areas.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Engineer Mohamed Amer personally supervises the restoration operations to speed up the process and reduce inconvenience to consumers.
All operations staff were directed to use available resources efficiently to ensure errors are resolved quickly.
The official spokesman expressed his confidence in restoring electricity supplies from the damaged feeders in stages after eliminating faults and stabilizing the system. He said that the company’s response mechanism remained fully active to deal with such situations resulting from bad weather conditions.
He also apologized to consumers for the temporary inconvenience caused by unavoidable circumstances and stressed FESCO’s commitment to providing uninterrupted power supply through timely maintenance and rapid response to emergency situations.
