Lahore, 27 March 2026 – Article 144 has been extended to Punjab, under which there is a complete ban on external flying of drones in the province.
The Punjab Home Ministry has maintained a complete ban on open-air flying of drones across the province, and the ban on drone flying has been extended for 30 days.
The Punjab government has imposed a ban on the use of drones due to security concerns, while allowing limited use of small drones during indoor events.
Responsibility for the safe use of drones at indoor events will fall on organisers, with law enforcement and intelligence agencies exempt from the ban.
