Lahore, April 4, 2026 Punjab Minister for Communications and Works Malik Sohaib Ahmad Bharth on Saturday reviewed the situation in Murree following the recent rains and noted that the staff of the Communications and Works Department remained fully active in responding to the weather conditions, while minor landslides at four different locations were removed in time.
He directed the concerned authorities to ensure continuous monitoring of landslide-prone areas on Murree roads and keep the drainage system fully functional in order to effectively deal with any emergency.
The Minister also issued instructions to take all possible measures to facilitate tourists’ visits to Murree and to ensure safety and smoothness He travels To the public at all times.
He also issued directives to all field formations of the C&W Department regarding ongoing development projects, stressing the necessity of strict adherence to safety and quality standards and not tolerating any negligence or negligence.
Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth also ordered effective and continuous monitoring of all development schemes and directed that all Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) should be strictly implemented at project sites to ensure quality implementation and public safety.
