Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 28 March, 2026) Earth Hour was observed at the head office of the Water and Sanitation Agency here on Saturday.
The lights were switched off at the agency’s head office in Lahore on the occasion of the global environmental campaign Earth Hour 2026. The purpose of the campaign was to promote energy conservation and environmental awareness.
In Wasa Lahore Non-essential lights have been turned off in the head office from 8:30pm to 9:30pm as part of this global campaign.
“Earth Hour is not just a symbolic act, it delivers a practical message about better use of energy, water conservation and environmental responsibility,” said Ghufran Ahmed, Director General of WASA.

He said that the theme of Earth Hour 2026 is “Give an Hour for the Earth,” under which citizens, institutions and governments are encouraged to take practical steps to protect the environment.
He added that such activities not only help in reducing energy waste, but are also an effective way to raise environmental awareness among the public.
