Dera Ismail Khan (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 12 March, 2026) Police in Banyala district conducted a successful search and hit operation on Thursday, and arrested
Four suspects and illegal weapons and ammunition were confiscated from their possession.
According to the police spokesperson, the operation was carried out under the supervision of the District Police Officer (DPO). Dera Ismail Khan Zia Uddin Ahmed, led by SP Paharpur Iqbal Khan Baloch and DSP Panyala Sardar Alamgir Khan, along with police station SHO Shaheed Nawab Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan and other police personnel.
During the operation, police arrested four suspects and found two .30-caliber pistols and two Kalashnikov rifles, in addition to ammunition.
Those arrested were identified as the accused, Muhammad Zubair, son of Muhammad Sabir, a resident of Mujahid Nagar in Baharpur state. A 30-caliber pistol and four bullets were found in his possession.
Another suspect, Hazrat Umar, son of Muhammad Sadiq, a resident of Abdul Khail, was also found in possession of a .30 caliber pistol and six cartridges.
The police also arrested Hamed Ali, the son of Ahmed Ali, a resident of Abdul Khail, and found in his possession a Kalashnikov rifle with 21 bullets in it.
Likewise, Mohamed Othman, the son of Mohamed Ramadan, also a resident of Abdel Khal, was detained after police found in his possession a Kalashnikov rifle with 20 bullets in it.
A report was drawn up regarding the incident against the accused, and they were referred to pretrial detention to complete the legal procedures.
A police spokesman said operations against criminals and illegal weapons would continue across the region to maintain law and order.
