Bahawalpur (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6 March 2026) Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza and Bahawalpur District Police Officer Abdul Wahab inspected the routes of the procession ahead of Ramadan 21, which is celebrated as Shahada Ali (RA) Day.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the procession route from Sonar Wali Gali to Shahi Bazaar, while the arrangements along the route from Shahi Bazaar to Shia Central Jamia Mosque were also reviewed in detail. Officials from relevant departments accompanied them during the inspection. The Deputy Commissioner and Director of Dubai Police carefully reviewed security measures, traffic management plans, sanitation arrangements and other administrative preparations aimed at ensuring the peaceful conduct of the procession.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza directed the concerned departments to ensure proper cleanliness along the procession route and ensure full operation of street lights so that adequate lighting is available during the night.
He also instructed the authorities to immediately solve sanitation problems, repair damaged roads, and remove any obstacles along the way to prevent any inconvenience to mourners participating in the procession.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza said that the safety of the participants will be ensured and all possible facilities will be provided to citizens. He added that the district administration, police and other relevant departments are in full mobilization to facilitate the peaceful conduct of the procession. District Police Officer Abdul Wahab also highlighted the security arrangements, stating that strict security measures would be ensured, adequate number of police personnel deployed and effective surveillance along the procession route to maintain law and order on the occasion.
