C&W Secretary reviews progress of Chaman Phatak Project, directs for its completion soon

QUETTA (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8 April, 2026) On special directions of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Provincial Minister for Communications and Works Mir Saleem Ahmad Khosa, Secretary Communications and Works Babar Khan reviewed the progress of the Chaman Phatak to Koyla Phatak road project.

On this occasion, Chief Engineer, Engineering and Maintenance Works Department, Mehrullah Gogezai, Chief Engineer Quetta Abdul Rahim Bangulzai District, South Quetta City Roads, Azhar Jan and Chief Architect Dr Sohrab Marri were also present, along with other officials concerned.

During the visit, Chief Engineer of the Engineering and Maintenance Works Department, Mehrullah Gogezai, gave a brief explanation and said that the project has entered its final stages of completion and soon this project will be 100 percent completed.

Communications and Works (C&W) Minister Babar Khan issued instructions on the occasion that all final phase works of the project should be completed within a week.

He said that the three points of the project, Koila Phatak, Pishin Stop and Chaman Phatak areas, should be expanded further so that the densely populated areas of the city are connected and traffic flow in the area should be improved.

The Minister further said that special attention should be paid regarding the quality of the said project and any negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.

He said that development and prosperity depend on the good performance of the Communications and Works Department, and this better performance will be achieved when these projects are completed, even before the project begins. The decision time.

Babar Khan further stated that Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, also gave the same instructions that this project should be completed as soon as possible so that people get rid of traffic problems and the residents of the city do not face any difficulty in reaching their destinations.
