Sargodha (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24 March, 2026) Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali on Tuesday announced that 98 percent of wheat cultivation targets have been achieved in Sargodha district.
Xi made the remarks while chairing a meeting to review major administrative issues, including the upcoming wheat procurement campaign, austerity measures amid the energy crisis and other public service issues.
The session covered a six-point agenda focusing on energy conservation, wheat procurement, availability of manhole covers, control of stray dogs, performance of e-Biz portal and Punjab Land Revenue Code Amendments 2026.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Additional Commissioner (Coordination), Deputy Commissioners of all four districts, Additional Deputy Commissioners (Revenue), Assistant Commissioners and Department Heads.
The officials briefed the Commissioner that the wheat procurement drive will commence on April 15, 2026, with harvest expected around April 20, 2026 and an expected increase in yield of 2 to 3 maun per acre.
