More than 1,400 prayers were held across the region in mosques, imams and open grounds, where thousands of worshipers performed Eid prayers.

After prayers, citizens celebrated the occasion with traditional enthusiasm, visiting relatives and offering support to the underprivileged. Dishes including vermicelli, kheer and other sweets were prepared for the guests at homes.
Rawalpindi Divisional Commissioner Engineer Aamer Khattak, City Police Officer Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, Public Security Police Operations, Public Security Police Investigation and Chief Traffic Officer also performed Eid prayers at the Police Lines Headquarters.
Prayers were made for raising the ranks of the martyrs of the police, national security, and the unity of the Islamic nation.
According to the police spokesperson, strict security arrangements have been made at more than 1,400 locations, with more than 6,000 police personnel deployed during Chand Raat and Eid days.
More than 800 traffic monitors ensured the smooth flow of traffic, while special pickets were created to prevent one-wheel driving.
The Elite Forces, Dolphin Force, Women Police, and Governor’s Division carried out their duties effectively. Mobile police and patrol teams remained active throughout the city, while Rescue Team 1122 remained on high alert.
Meanwhile, Rawalpindi Waste Management Company conducted a special cleanliness drive. The process began immediately after the sighting of the crescent moon, with “zero waste” measures implemented in all tehsil areas. Mosques, Eid holidays, parks, markets and cemeteries were completely cleaned.
In Murree, special traffic arrangements have been made in view of the influx of tourists. More than 200 police and traffic officers were deployed, and awareness signs and barriers were placed at the main entry points to keep traffic flowing.
