Islamabad (Urdu Point / Pakistan Point News – 27 March 2026) Award Winning Indian Social activist Sandeep Pandey has expressed concern over the sentence passed by the NIA court on Hurriyat leaders Asia Andrabi, Fahmida Sofi and Nahid Nasreen, stating that it reflects poorly on the Indian courts’ commitment to justice.

In a statement issued here, Pandey criticized the Indian government’s actions in Kashmir, saying that by abrogating Article 370, India Kashmiris were stripped of their rights. “India abrogated Kashmir’s constitutional status, withdrew the state’s autonomy, and stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its legislature and the powers of the prime minister,” he said.

He condemned the Indian government’s bias against Kashmiri Muslims, pointing out the treatment of Kashmiri Muslim students at Vishnu Devi Medical College. Pandey also criticized the Pulwama incident, noting that more than 2,500 Kashmiri youth have been arrested, many of whom are still in prison.

Pandey demanded the release of thousands of innocent Kashmiri prisoners and justice for the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Hurriyat leaders Raja Khadim Hussain and Abdul Hamid Lone welcomed Pandey’s statement and urged Indians to raise their voices against human rights violations and injustice in Kashmir.
