According to a press release issued here on Thursday, cleaning teams are active in public places, including the police station, Shahdara Teaching Hospital, Shahdara Bazaar, and other locations. More than 750 health workers have been deployed to carry out cleaning activities in Shahdara town.
Babar Sahibuddin said that in the town of Shahdra and its neighboring areas, 150 autorickshaws are operating to transport waste from door to door.
Roads are also being swept to make major intersections and roads dust-free.
Officers were instructed to remain present in the field and ensure 100 percent attendance of workers.
“We are committed to providing citizens with a pleasant and dust-free environment,” Babar Sahibuddin said.
He asked citizens to cooperate with SPA Lahore teams and hand over waste to sanitation workers who come door to door, the Director General of Suthra Punjab also appealed.
