Patwari arrested for bribery – Urdu Point

Sargodha (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 8 April, 2026) The Anti-Corruption Commission on Wednesday arrested a patwari in Bhachtaran district on corruption charges.

According to details, Muhammad Saeed, son of Ghulam Muhammad, and a resident of Dera Lori, Khilanwala, Bhashran in Mianwali district, lodged a complaint with the Regional Director of Anti-Corruption, Sargodha. Amirullah, a patwari from Muzaffarpura North, Bhashran, was allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 40,000 for processing the transfer of ownership of the gift land.

On receiving the complaint, Regional Anti-Corruption Director Sargodha Nasir Aziz Khan directed Anti-Corruption Department officer Mianwali to conduct a raid.

Based on these orders, the district officer, along with a raiding team, carried out the operation under the supervision of Section 30 Magistrate Asif Mostafai.

During the raid, the accused patwari, Amirullah Mianwali, of the Revenue Department, was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000. A case (No. 2/2026) was registered against him at the Mianwali Anti-Corruption Police Station.

Further investigation was underway.
