ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 6th April, 2026) Sohail Ashraf on Monday took charge as Chairman of the Capital Development Authority and Principal Commissioner of Islamabad and directed the officials to ensure timely completion of development projects and improve service delivery in the capital.
During his introductory meetings with blackboard Members of the Authority and senior officials were briefed on the Authority’s overall performance, administrative structure, and progress made in ongoing projects, including infrastructure development and public service initiatives.
Officials exchanged updates on the key sectors under their supervision, explaining current challenges and areas requiring management attention.
Ashraf stressed the need to complete all development plans within the specified timelines so that citizens can benefit from the improved facilities as soon as possible.
He said delays in projects would not be acceptable.
He also called for steps to improve administrative efficiency and directed officials to ensure transparency in the provision of civic facilities.
Emphasizing the institutional reform, the Chairman of the Board of Directors said that technology-based measures will be taken to enhance the authority’s performance and service delivery.
